Scot and Maurine Proctor went to Haiti to record with camera and pen the work of the Church and of the Utah Hospital Task Force, a group of dedicated LDS humanitarian volunteers helping in the aftermath of the devastating earthquake. The Proctors will share their experiences on Saturday, April 10 at 7:00 p.m., with photography on the large screen in the main theater of the Washington D.C. Temple Visitors’ Center. There is no charge for this family-friendly program.
The 125-member medical, construction and translation team had responded quickly to the call of Stephen Studdert who, because of his government connections, had arranged for the group to be sponsored by USAID.
Scot and Maurine Proctor are the founders and editors of Meridian Magazine, an Internet magazine updated daily at www.ldsmag.com. They have traveled the world recording important events for their magazine. Scot received his MA from Utah State University, and Maurine her masters from Harvard University.
