SALT LAKE CITY, Utah — The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has more than 300 missions worldwide, but the smallest mission geographically — literally one square block — is found in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The Utah Salt Lake City Temple Square Mission is made up of mostly single women representing more than 42 countries speaking 33 languages. Visitors to Temple Square, especially those who do not speak English, are often surprised to find a missionary who can speak to them in their native language.

The Salt Lake Tribune recently featured the Temple Square mission and highlighted some of the experiences of the missionaries there.
