The program features beloved American mezzo-soprano Frederica von Stade and Europe’s pre-eminent baritone Bryn Terfel. Featured selections performed by the Choir, Orchestra, and soloists include “Joy to the World,” “Hark the Herald Angels Sing,” “The First Noel,” “Oh, Come All Ye Faithful,” “Still, Still, Still” and “Angels from the Realms of Glory.” The international flavor of the program includes English, Welsh, Nigerian, Austrian and French carols. Also on the program is “A Yuletide Festival,” a medley arranged by Michael Davis, with sentimental holiday favorites such as Happy Holiday,” “Winter Wonderland,” “We Need a Little Christmas” and many more. A tender moment in the concert features Terfel reading the Christmas story from Luke accompanied by the Choir and Orchestra.
