SALT LAKE CITY – The public is invited to attend a special taping session of this year’s Mormon Tabernacle Choir Christmas concert, with guest performers Audra McDonald and Peter Graves, in the Conference Center.
This performance will differ from the other sold-out concerts in that it will be a true taping session. There will be starts and stops, repetitions of some sections and omissions of others. The guest stars will perform at least some of their numbers but perhaps not all of them. Some views may be obstructed by cameras.
The session will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, 18 December. Patrons are asked to be in their seats by 1:30 p.m. and must be able to stay for the entire taping session which may last until 5:00 p.m. but could end sooner.
Free tickets for this taping session are required and will be available at the Conference Center ticket office (door 4) and on the Internet at www.lds.org/events starting Saturday, 4 December 2004 at 10:00 a.m. MST. On Saturday, 4 December only, the line for patrons seeking tickets will form at door 12 of the Conference Center beginning at 8:00 a.m.
The doors of the Conference Center will open at 12:30 p.m. on the day of the taping. Seating is limited to those 8 years of age and older. Given the increase in traffic due to other scheduled downtown holiday events, guests are asked to allow extra time for travel and parking in order to be seated by 1:30 p.m.
