The Association for Mormon Letters will present its fifth annual LDS Writers Conference on Saturday, November 1 at the Provo library. Registration begins at 8:30 AM, and the conference runs from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Scheduled speakers include Rulon Burton, Kathleen Dalton-Woodbury, Jongiorgi Enos, Kurt Hale, Carol Lynch Williams, Kenny Kemp, Eric Samuelsen, Ron Woods, and Rick Walton.

The conference will include a sneak preview of BEST TWO YEARS, a new film distributed by the makers of THE SINGLES WARD and THE R.M. Workshop sessions will focus on the writing craft, generating ideas, creating well-rounded characters, overcoming writer’s block, publishing, self-publishing, and writing for young people.

Representatives from all the major LDS publishers will be present.

For an additional $5.00 fee, workshop participants can receive
feedback on 13 lines of their work in three categories: hook (manuscript’s first 13 lines), description (13 lines of prose from anywhere in your manuscript), or plot (a 13-line plot outline or synopsis).

Admission to the conference is $40 for the general public, $35 for
full-time students and AML members. This includes lunch. Registration will take place at the door starting at 8:30 AM. No pre-registration is necessary.
