Jason Bagley, who created the original Old Spice commercial that went viral on YouTube told BYU students Thursday that “This spot was really stressful to make,” and “Really, really good ideas are not common.”

He said the spot was shot in two days and without one successful run-through, they had half a day left to film.

“Part of doing great work is being naïve enough to not realize that you’re undertaking things that are quite possibly not possible,” he said.
