SALT LAKE CITY, Utah — The Mormon Tabernacle Choir, the Orchestra at Temple Square and the Brett Family Singers will be the featured guests at the Pioneer Day commemorative concert on Friday, July 21, at 7:30 p.m.

This Pioneer Day commemorative concert celebrates the 159th anniversary of the first Latter-day Saint pioneer company to enter the Salt Lake Valley in 1847, and the 150th anniversary of the first handcart companies to enter the valley in 1856. The Friday night concert kicks off a busy weekend of Pioneer Day celebrations throughout Utah.

The concert will be a celebration of the pioneer spirit, not only honoring the early Saints but also recognizing those who are pioneering in the Church today.

The concert will be held at the Conference Center Auditorium, 60 W. North Temple Street, Salt Lake City. Guests should enter through door 8.

The program will also be broadcast over the Church satellite system.
