DALLAS, Texas — Tonight and on Friday, July 1, the North Texas Oratorio Society choir and orchestra will present the concert “Visions — The Mission and Ministry of the Prophet Joseph Smith.” The North Texas Oratorio Society is a group of LDS musicians from all over the North Texas area who have volunteered their talents for this event.

Performing the great hymns of the restoration (“Praise to the Man,” “This is the Christ,” and “The Spirit of God Like a Fire Is Burning”), and also including world premiere concert performances of “Beautiful Savior,” “I Am a Child of God,” and “We’ll Bring the World His Truth” (sung by the children in several languages, accompanied by orchestra and native instruments), the 140-voice choir will raise their voices in celebration of the Prophet Joseph.  The program concludes with Dr. Crawford Gates Conducting his magnificent oratorio, “Visions of Eternity.”

The concert will take place at 8:00 p.m. on both nights in the Center in Richardson, Texas. Tickets are available online at eisemanncenter.com or by phone at 972-744-4650.

Please join us in celebrating an evening of music and song commemorating the 200th anniversary of the birth of the Prophet Joseph Smith, and in tribute to his mission and ministry.

This performance is recommended for ages 8 and older.
