Night of Music & Inspiration

Night of Music & Inspiration will be presented by the missionaries of the Washington D.C. North Mission. Through musical numbers and inspirational thoughts, the missionaries will share their talents and testimonies strengthening members as well as investigators. This evening’s theme will be “Yesterday, Today and Forever”, under the direction of Sister Withers.

An Evening of Harp Music: Barbra Bailey Bradley & Phoebe Suh

Barbra Bailey Bradley is an award winning composer, arranger and author.  She performs with and directs the Heatherwood Harp Ensemble, and teaches both piano and harp at the National Cathedral School in Washington, D.C.  She was educated at prestigious music schools in Canada and the US and has received numerous awards for her performances. Phoebe Suh, a gifted young musician, has studied harp with Sister Bradley for three years and also performs with the Heatherwood Harp Ensemble. She is a sixth grader at Chevy Chase Elementary School and a violinist in the CCES Orchestra. The concert will include some of Bradley’s classical arrangements as well as a collection of Disney tunes.

National Bible Association: Concert of Praise

This annual event features musical performances by members of some of the area’s major religions. Included in this year’s concert are choirs from a Jewish congregation, a Catholic congregation, a Baptist church and, representing the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Jenny Oaks Baker and Jared Oaks. This is the first time this event will be held at the Visitors’ Center.
