LDS Film Festival Showcases New Films

The LDS Film Festival has established itself as a major festival in Utah, drawing over 7000 attendees in 2009. This year, over 100 films will be showcased from Wednesday through  Saturday, January 20-23, 2010. Come and enjoy the unique festival atmosphere this week at the SCERA Center for the Arts in Orem, Utah.

The LDS Film Festival will premiere a number of independent feature films, including You’re So Cupid, The Yankles, Sundance Skippy, Humble Pie, and White on Rice. Additional features include a 10-year anniversary screening of the original print of God’s Army, Audience Alliance’s first feature film Broken Hill set in the Australian outback, and the Mexican-produced Melted Hearts.

The festival also offers numerous documentary films and shorter dramatic films from around the world

Additional highlights of the LDS Film Festival are the 24-Hour Filmmaking Marathon (short films produced in only 24 hours prior to the festival), the Short Film Competition programs, and insightful Filmmaker Presentations, highlighting aspects of filmmaking from development, pre-production, production to post-production and distribution.
