A new version of LDS Maps is now available on LDS.org. Version 3.0 of LDS Maps includes a host of new features that improve your experience in finding meetinghouses, members in your stake, and a variety of Church locations.
The first helpful new tool is “Maps 101” which offers a short and simple tutorial to learn about the new features on the site. One interesting new feature is the ability to view ward boundaries, with indicators showing where ward member households are located. (Feature is found using the meetinghouse icon in lower left corner.) First users will need to log in with their LDS.org account information, which will then set the map to show the user’s ward.
The features included in the 3.0 release include the following:
- Single line search
- Household verifications
- “Maps 101” overlay help
- “What’s Nearby” feature
- Improved print options
- Numerous map display options
- New layers
- Unit boundary maps
- “Locate me” feature
- Improved iPad and tablet support
- Metrics units options
From LDS.org, you can access Maps by going to Tools > Maps. The direct URL for accessing Maps is https://lds.org/rcmaps.
