Just wish I could be playful with my spouse. When a Cluster B Personality Disorder is present, even normal types of fun are not welcomed by him. I try to do a few cute, affectionate things anyway...even tho I know his response will be to walk away as if nothing took place.

L.A.M. The teasing (flirting) Laura Brotherson is talking about is a fun teasing/flirting. Flirting like when you were dating. She gave some examples and it should be fun for both of you. What I understood her as saying is to communicate with each other. She said "Men, if you aren’t getting a positive response to your playfulness, here are some suggestions. Be more attentive to your wife’s response to your teasing and playfulness. If you aren’t getting a warm response, then tone it way down." of course this goes for women as well.

I would hope that Dr. Brotherson defines what she means by teasing. Pres. David O. McKay instructed us parents to teach our children not to tease each other. It can be a form of bullying and emotional/psychological/physical abuse. There's a difference between having an objective view of ourselves and our quirks or weakensses and having others exercising unrighteous dominion over us with vicious laughter that insists we're supposed to laugh with the teaser because he/she has pain power over us.
