My dearest Maurine and Scot, What a beautiful story! I am ever so grateful for the opportunity I had of being on the same cruise with you. Just to let you know that I have had a similar experience. When on the cruise I broke my neck but because of the power of the priesthood I was healed to be able to complete the cruise. I have just had neck surgery and the doctor said that because of the place of the brake and the power of the fall that I am very lucky not to be paralyzed from the neck down. I know that it was the power of the priesthood and the many prayers in my behalf that have saved me. I love you and thank you and Scot for a wonderful time. Thank you Scot for being worthy to give a wonderful, powerful blessing, that very well has saved my life.

My husband also suffers from Allergies etc. He has been told there is nothing wrong. It would be wonderful to have some help for him. He suffers from barometric pressure headaches also.

Wow, Arden, what a great observation! I had never noticed that about the scripture in 1 Cor. What an important thing to be aware of!

Thank you, Maurine. This is beautiful and profound. We indeed are perfected by Him and Through Him, our contribution is that willingness to "come to my house"

It is no coincidence that often the best of stories come from the worst circumstances. It makes me think about my perspective. .. am I trying to have the attitude of love and acceptance? Or bitter demands to have my way? I wonder if many "bad circumstances" would change, it only we changed our hearts.

Lovely story and analogy to the Savior. One thing, though, about the scrip. "eye hath not seen, nor ear heard etc." it always amazes me that no one ever quotes the next verse: "But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God." 1Cor 2: 10. The Spirit can help our blindness and non-comprehension.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us in such a beautiful analogy.

Dear Maurine, Reading this article felt good for two good reasons: 1) It's a modern illustration of the Good Samaritan and gives me hope that I can be saved despite my many sins and frailties. 2) You have been my friend for a long time and I am grateful our Heavenly Father and His Son have blessed your health in this wonderful manner. May the Lord bless you with many years of enjoying healthy sinuses and good overall health. Warm regards, Charles

I would like to know the name and state of the "Good Doctor"! My husband has the same problem, and has been told the same things for years!

You stated so perfectly what I've been feeling lately! Maybe it was seeing the new film that started me pondering how far removed I am from being 'like Them'. And, thankfully, it hasn't been discouraging, just a realization that none of us can begin to comprehend how being like God would feel or be. All I know is that is our charge, and I know They are ever ready to hear and help and lift us when we're ready, and they see fit. All we need to do (be) is willing! You packed your things, traveled to this wonderful man's home and allowed him to work his miracle on you! It is an excellent metaphor! Thank you for sharing. You have an amazing son, to have put that together so eloquently. I appreciate all you Proctors do!

Thank you for sharing your healing experience, which encourages me to trust in the Divine Healer as well... About two weeks ago, I wasn't feeling too good, but thought that I had things in grip with herbs, rest, etc... But on Sunday, at Church after Sacrament, I still was not doing well, even weepy, which was my spirit telling me that I need help. So, I asked for a blessing, started to feel better shortly afterwards, and am now encouraged, that things will progressively improve according to His will. Pazienza! - Patience;-)

A whole lot more than "well said". What an experience, and thankyou for sharing it with us. Your final paragraph says it all. This "good Doctor" was put in your path so we could all gain from your comments. And so pleased you can breathe easily.

Well said. I am happy that you were healed by this good man. It makes me happy to know that such men exist. I am grateful for the analogy. Thank you for sharing.
