The National Scrapbooking and Ancestry Expo
Scrapbooking is the fastest growing craft in America today. Hundreds of thousands of women and men across the country have caught the fever. The old-fashioned magnetic photo albums with fading yellow pictures have been replaced by colorful, creative, informative photo albums. These are all put together in an acid-free, archival preserved format so these treasures will last forever..well almost.
The second largest category for use of the Internet is Ancestral Research. People all around the world are researching their roots. Documenting, charting, gathering pictures, histories, records, anything they can find to further define who they are. Workshops and demonstrations will be presented during the two-day event to introduce attendees to this life long pursuit.
The synergy that exists between these two is obvious. One naturally leads to the other. Both will be taught, displayed, marketed and enjoyed for two days at the upcoming National Scrapbooking & Ancestry Expo to be held at the Orange County Fairgrounds in Costa Mesa, California February 22nd & 23rd . Workshops begin at 9am both days and expo hours are from 12pm to 8pm on Friday, 10am to 5pm on Saturday. Daily pass $7, Weekend pass $10. For more information see: www.scrapbookingexpo.com or call ASM Event Group at 800 571-9012.
Friday night’s featured activities, the “Crop ’till You Drop Oldies Party” and “Family History Marathon Oldies Party” at the weekend convention will feature an appearance from members of three of the most famous oldies groups in history. Bruce Belland of The Four Preps, David Somerville of The Diamonds, and Jim Yester of The Association.
