The author of Utopia Against the Family (Ignatius, 1990) and Divided We Fall: Family Discord and the Fracturing of America (Transaction, 2005), Bryce Christensen has published articles on cultural and literary issues in Philosophy and Literature, Christianity and Literature, Renascence, Modern Age, and various other scholarly journals. His poetry has appeared in The Formalist, Contemporary Rhyme, Tailwind and elsewhere and has been anthologized in Sonnets: 150 Contemporary Sonnets (University of Evansville Press, 2005) and The Conservative Poets: A Contemporary Anthology (University of Evansville Press, 2006). His novel Winning was published by Whiskey Creek Press in June 2007. His essay on the cultural status of American poetry was recognized in 2007 as the Best Paper in Category (British and American literature) by the Utah Academy of Sciences, Arts, and Letters. He has also published popular articles in the Wall Street Journal, Chicago Tribune, Baltimore Sun, Cleveland Plain-Dealer and elsewhere. A native of Mt. Pleasant, Utah, he grew up in Provo and married Provo native Mary Cox. They are the parents of three sons and the grandparents of one grandson. Since 2001, he has been a member of the English Department at Southern Utah University, where he is now assistant professor of English composition.
