There are incorrect statements in this article. The presidential emphasis regarding sanctuary cities is on illegal alien CRIMINALS.

It is not a matter of letting in hundreds of thousands of refugees or not helping refugees. That is a false choice. We can provide plenty of aid to refugees without letting them come here. After WW II, the vast majority of German refugees received foreign aid in Germany or in refugee camps in neighboring countries and were then able to return to Germany. As long as Al Qaeda and ISIS are trying to enter America posing as refugees, we need to be extremely careful about letting in more refugees. President Trump's travel ban is temporary and limited. It does *not* apply to 85% of the world's Muslim population. It only targets the seven countries that have long been identified as hot spots for terrorism. At least three of those seven countries do not even have national governments that control of all their country's territory. So obviously it would be very hard, or impossible, to properly screen everyone coming from these countries. And the Church's official statement on immigration makes it clear that there must be sensible limits on immigration in order to avoid destabilizing our society and putting our economy at risk of being overwhelmed.

After WWII, the Christians Serbs in Kosovo were gradually overwhelmed by migrations of Muslims from Albania. Overtime the Albanians became numerous and powerful, and attacked the Serbs. When the Serbs fought back, NATO stepped in to aid the Albanians. Today Kosovo is 90% Muslim. Do the do-gooders want to "Kosovize" America?

What exactly are the laws on the books previously with regard to immigration? When were they passed and have we been obeying and enforcing them?

there is legal immigration and illegal immigration. The first is, fill out the paperwork , wait in line, and come in when permitted. The second is jump the boarder with out papers. By government statute you are than an ILLEGAL ALIEN and need to be removed when caught. Check the articles of Faith about adhering to the law. Assisting an Illegal Alien is participating in an ongoing criminal enterprise, a RICO Act violation a felony. All persons within the United States without proper government paperwork need to be removed, period

As I watch this episode unfold, we draw our opinions from three sources.1] president Trump, 2] the left stream media and 3] the more sensible Outlets based on fact. I have read many reports on the media spreading lies. The media does not like Trump and is successfully swaying public opinion through false reporting. The Daily Signal is a great resource to debunk the lies spread by the media. What is wrong with making our country more secure through closer vetting? We aren't anti-immigration! We are trying to shut the door on those who want to destroy our freedom and values. Let's give Trump a chance. Seek media outlets that provide facts rather than emotion.
