Interesting ... The conversation about John in the desert caught my attention. Checked with James E Talmage who in 'Jesus the Christ' points out there is only one scripture about that and everything else is just conjecture. He also writes about Mary's lineage which shows that She and Joseph were 2nd cousins. That would indicate to me she too was of the line of David. I would suggest reviewing your information and use 'Jesus the Christ' as a base.

A careful reading tells us why the response to Zechariah's question is much different than the answer to Mary's question. Zechariah asks for a sign, "Whereby shall I know this?" Luke 1;18 while Mary asks for an explanation, "How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?" The angel answered both of their requests.

When we gave this chapter as a FHE we noticed in the manual under Mary's reactions and the Message for me it says that it is okay to ask questions when I don't understand. One of my grandchildren asked why Zacharias was struck dumb for asking how it could be. I don't have an answer if there is one.

I am deaf and cannot hear the podcast. I am a faithful reader of your Meridian Times. I am sure there are more deaf people out there like me. Can we have a written script of the podcast so we can read and can learn more about the scriptures. The scriptures are so uplifting.

I agree, a written copy would be very beneficial.

I too was wondering about a transcript. I live in a rural area and even though I have hughesnet the service isn’t reliable. I tried listening and got cut off not too long into the broadcast and then it wouldn’t connect again.

Is there a transcript for this podcast? It would be helpful to have one for further study. This was beautifully done and reminded me of your wonderful instruction when we were last together in Israel and in Oman in 2008!

Just a note to let you know how much I enjoyed this pod cast and the insights that the two of you shared. Thank you!

The podcast cas excellent. Very clear and provided insights into meanings of the scriptures that people would normally never think about or realize. Is there a written translation of the podcast? I would find it very helpful if there were so that one could refer back to specific statements without going through the entire podcast again.
