Thank you for reminding me of Joseph Smith Sr.'s and Lucy Mack Smith's Tree of Life vision. They were not only prepared for the Book of Mormon, but were surely hungry for the true gospel of Jesus Christ - the Restoration! What a marvelous work and a wonder!

Can you imagine how Joseph Sr. must have felt when he read the account of Lehi/Nephi's vision of the Tree of Life. It is interesting that each culture has an account of this same vision but over time has lost the true understanding of it.

Very good and insightful article. I guess Joseph Smith Sr. had the vison in 1811 that would make Joseph Smith JR about 3 years old.I'm sure this helped prepare Sr. for the important work that Joseph Smith Jr. was forordained to do.
