Today's mankind should be very comforted by the fact that we do not presently know the name of our Heavenly Mother. I have only SLAPPED one of my three children, and just once. That one time happened almost instantly when that child bad-mouthed their mother, and my wife. Suppose, just for a moment, that someone would start to write Her Holy name on a bathroom wall.... I hate to think of the consequences.

I agree with division of work. Mother in heaven is 'at home,' in the premortal existence teaching all her and Heavenly Father'S spirit children while Heavenly Faather is 'At work' creating worlds. In the same way I take our oldest son with me when I install a sprinkler system for a homeowner, the FAther took his oldest Son with him to organize Adam and Eve on this earth. This pattern is continued in the FIrst Vision to Joseph Smith. Just as I love to watch our son dig all the trenches (the hard work) while I lay the pipe in the trench (easy work) HEavenly FAther loves to watch his Son organize new worlds while He watches and approves his work. They just love working together on BIG construction projects in the same way I love to work with our son on really tiny construction projects. By hdb

Great insights in the article. The comments here, however, make me cringe. Heavenly Mother does not come to tell a man who to marry. We are never instructed to keep her always in our thoughts. Be careful not to stray past the words of the scriptures and the testimony of the prophets and come up with your own doctrine.

In Genisus, the Hebrew also says gods, or the plural, in the creation story.

" If Jesus Christ and the noble and great ones did not assist Heavenly Father in the creation of man, then why does it say “the Gods” rather than simply God? Who was the other God that created us with our Heavenly Father?" Who were the "Gods"? Moses 2:26; And I, God, said unto mine Only Begotten, which was with me from the beginning: Let us make man in our image, after our likeness; and it was so. And I, God, said: Let them have dominion over the fishes of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. Also see: Ether 3:15; And never have I showed myself unto man whom I have created, for never has man believed in me as thou hast. Seest thou that ye are created after mine own image? Yea, even all men were created in the beginning after mine own image. Also: John 1:3, 10; Colossians 1:16, or the words of Christ as Jehovah; Isaiah 45:11-12.

I have come. The Mother is coming out of obscurity.

If one can imagine if Heavenly Mother came down to visit with one of HER children to discuss which woman to marry. How important would that be to that individual and his eternal companion. Our beloved MOTHER is real, much as our HEAVENLY FATHER is real. We need to ensure always, to keep them in our daily commune (our thoughts).

As man is, God once was, as God is, man may become. Heavenly Parents worshiped their Heavenly Parents. One generation follows another throughout eternity. Is "Elohim" plural because it includes Heavenly Mother? If so, She would be involved in the acts of Elohim.

Hmmm....There are quite a few unsupported leaps here that go well beyond what is written in the official essay published by the Church on this subject. I would suggest people exercise great caution before swallowing the ideas and opinions presented here.

it is logical that they would learn from Heavenly Parents, all those items you listed, so if they learned who to Worship from our heavenly parents, who where our Heavenly Parents Worshiping?

So very comforting to know we have a Heavenly Father & Mother. Hard to understand how anyone could possibly not believe. Love the song concerning the truths about our Heavenly parents.
Division of workNovember 14, 2016
I've always been comfortable with the idea that our Heavenly Parents have a division of duty, just as we do on earth. We pray to Heavenly Father because he's in charge of life here on earth: He's "at work," so to speak, managing the affairs on earth. Mother in Heaven, however, is "at home," managing the affairs of those in the pre- and post-existence. Just as my husband and I will deflect to the other when kids come ask for something, "Dad's over that--ask him," or "Mom's in charge of that--get her permission," I see the same thing happening heavenly.

I discuss Heavenly Mother in Chapter 3 "Divine Parentage of Spirit Children" in my book Weaving Golden Threads: Early Christianity and its Restoration.
