The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints announced Monday that it has made the journals of its fourth president available digitally in the Church History Library’s online catalog.
Wilford Woodruff’s journals (call number: MS 1352) contain more than 7,000 pages of recorded history and his personal insight.
“Arguably, Wilford Woodruff is one of the most important journal keepers in church history, especially among those that kept a journal in the 19th century,” Metcalf stated in the release.
Woodruff (1807-1898) was a missionary and church leader who recorded sermons given by the Church’s founder and prophet Joseph Smith that cannot be found in anywhere else.
