We knew and loved James and his family in Littleton CO. He touched our lives in a difficult time that no one ever saw or knew about. He was the true example of our Savior's love.

A fitting tribute to a wonderful man! As a member of the Washington DC Stake it was my privilege to observe and interact with Pres. Baird. In addition to what Pres. Sheets noted, his children and children-in-law (in his funeral) noted his love, undeviating concern for, and capacity to teach and otherwise spend quality time with every member of his family. As a member of the Stake Council, I was blessed by his ability to focus us on issues of importance, sometimes challenging his ability to resolve, where he genuinely wanted our input and where we could pull together to do our best in moving the Lord's work forward. The Spirit World has gained an awesome exemplar and advocate for the gospel of Jesus Christ.
