My husband is a pretty knowledgeable man and he keeps reminding our family to check the air in the tires on the trailer. The wrong pressure can cause the tires to over heat quite quickly and that can cause them to blow resulting in lots of really difficult problems, from fires to broken parts on the trailer and it even causing a wreck and that can be life threatening. The fire has surely been that also

My heart goes out to all those families experiencing losses, griefs, and other troubles caused by these California fires. May you all be especially supported in the coming days by God's love and the love of your extended families and friends. To "Craigs List" ... you know miracles don't have to be grand, right? There are so many "small miracles" happening every day, both near at hand and far away. So, what's a miracle? According to one definition, "a miracle is an event not explicable by natural or scientific laws." The definition says nothing about size. How can we know a miracle, small though it may be, when we see one? We have to keep our eyes open and be watching. Think about your own experiences ... has anything improbable, coincidental or synchronistic ever happened to bring you into contact with an important person in your life? What unexpected events may have enabled you or someone important to you to survive an accident or medical crisis or have a special adventure? Looking back, has help ever arrived "out of the blue" just when you or someone important to you needed it most? These are just some small examples of what I'd call "miracles", things that can't be explained away easily or put down to natural or scientific laws. "Finding the miracles" is all about the kind and focus of the lens we use to examine the world around us.When I can't see the miracles, then I know I need to get a new lens.

Being humble and teachable is a miracle for some. However, pride comes before the fall. Some of the firefighters deployed are Mormons and come globally to the rescue. Remember that your eyes have the the power reflect our Saviours work of peace and love, especially as we give a helping hand. Our tongue or words in this case need to be for good always. As we follow our Saviour's teachings to minister and lift where we stand. God bless those that suffer in all the different ways.

Honestly if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all. Let's be grateful that this didn't happen to our family, and kind to those who did. Reach out in love to someone today. Miracles happen all around us every day. It really is in the eye of beholder whether it is something amazing that you would have never believed could happen. Be thankful and generous to others around us. Looking for maliciousness or defining whether something qualifies as a miracle could make you miss the miracles that are around YOU. Focus on the positive and that is what you will see more of. What you feed grows. <3

I live in New Mexico and several years ago a trailer being pulled by a friend of mine did the same thing and started a grass fire that caused a huge area of grassland to burn, also resulting in buildings and homes being burned.

Examine this 2nd paragraph "It was started when a trailer being pulled along Highway 299 got a flat tire, a fairly insignificant incident, but when the metal rim of the wheel hit the asphalt the resulting sparks quickly took the moment from commonplace to catastrophic for the entire region." Can we really believe this explanation without even a story of the trailer and the means of how this "commonplace" accident resulted in the massive fires of which the Carr fire is only one; especially when a hillside near Athens, Greece suffered similar destruction? Something very strange here.

Maybe ask those whose homes did not get burned down somehow Craigs List. If this was your home and all the home around you were burnt down but yours wasn't, I'm pretty sure you'd be calling miracle.

I don't know. I think when you believed you had lost any record of your wedding and a photograph from that day not only escaped the blaze, was protected through a literal firestorm AND found its way back to you. Sounds miraculous to me.

Honestly, I think the term "miracles" for the items listed here is a maddening overreach. There may well be miracles taking place in this disaster but these don't seem to make the cut.
