I have learned recently that the OLD Testament is just as much a reassurance of God's incredible love for His children as the NEW Testament is. I always thought it too laborious to be interesting, but with the knowledge and insights of a great historian to explain the intricate history of Israel that book has become a great addition to my testimony of a loving Father in Heaven. There are many good books to guide one through the Old Testament, but I recommend W. Cleon Skousen's "The Fourth Thousand Years."
