Great work, Tom! I look forward to reading some of these books in the not-too-distant future.

Over the last 50 years I have acquired quite a nice library of old books because I like to look at footnotes and bibliographies for the "original" source of Gospel concepts. Therefore, I not only agree with the concept you supported with quotes from C.S. Lewis, but also cheer you on with the digitizing project. It will be invaluable to the coming generation.

This sounds very exciting. At the moment I am taking an online class called Mentoring With the Classics, guided by Oliver and Rachael DeMille. Having always been interested in the great books of the past, it is very challenging to learn that there are 5 levels of reading a great book, and then learn to read at the top levels of 5-4-3. I prefer to read original writings and did not realize there were church classics from earlier history. I especially enjoyed reading "The History of Joseph Smith By His Mother" and " Man: God's Greatest Miracle" by J. Reuben Clark. Looking forward to the opportunity.

Bro. Nysetvold, There are all kinds of "Great Books" lists out there but having one from an LDS point is great! Give Sis. Nysetvold a hug for me. I used to sit next to her at the Family History Center while we researched. :-) Sis. Davis
